Features and tools in Sirius software

Anne Massey is offering a second one-day workshop on using your astrological software. This will focus on using the tools, knowing about the default settings; and using this powerful tool more effectively. This will be offered February 7, 2010, 11AM to about 5PM. Bring your laptop; I will project the program onto a big screen so you can watch how the program functions and learn about the vast array of features. Cost $35; attendance limited to a maximum of 10 people; register early to ensure a seat.

Astrological ABCs 

Anne offers private tutoring for students wishing to learn rudimentary chart analysis and the foundations of astrology. I have designed the curriculum following the CAAE guidelines to lay a solid foundation for astrological analysis beginning with basics. Students who are willing to complete the assignments will be able to write the Level I examination by CAAE (the Canadian Association for Astrological Education). The exams are offered in May and November each year. Charts of students and their family/friends will be used to illustrate concepts and delineation.

Each session costs $45 per hour. Before beginning sessions I evaluate what a student already knows and we will begin there, this way we can cover the material faster. Handouts, charts, etc. are delivered as PDF files via email, the sessions are over the telephone or via Skype and recorded in MP3 format.

Resource/Text Book: Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Astrology: The Easy Way to Learn Astrology by Kris Riske (Chapters Indigo sells it at 16.68 online). You will need a three-ring binder for notes and handouts, and I recommend that you have a pencil; ruler and degree dial-ruler, like those used in elementary school for chart work.

Study at your own pace

Anneoffers private tutoring for students at levels 1-3 as well as in the elective topics. The curriculum is customized to the needs of the student. A book or few will be used in conjunction with the classes. The instructional part is via telephone or Skype, which is recorded in MP3 format. Anne will provide illustrated handouts as PDFs on the various concepts. Homework assignments are marked for you. The cost is for the session, no additional cost for additional materials or marking your work. Before and during the first session Anne will assess what the student already knows and the tutoring begins there. When recordings of topics that the student might need are available, these will be offered at a small cost. Learning one-on-one means that the material will be covered rather quickly, and that the study time the student sets aside defines the pace for learning. Some of Anne’s current students opt for a weekly session, others bi-monthly or monthly. Anne also teaches Hellenistic astrology. Price for a 60 minute session is $45.
