Astrology of Relationships
Sunday, December 28th, 2008 | Ask Anne | 2 Comments
There are three different charts to analyze in order to look at what kind of relationship we are most likely to have. The first one is, of course, our own natal chart. Even if you don’t know much about astrology and read horoscopes you have discovered that the seventh house in an astrological chart is about relationships including marriage. Primarily we look at the seventh, fifth and eighth houses and their rulers for relationships. Some of us may use the marriage part—there are a few of these. The houses give us areas of life, fifth is about romance, creativity, and children; the eighth house is about shared resources and sexuality and through the seventh house we meet people. › Continue reading
Transit Pluto in the 12th house
Monday, December 1st, 2008 | Ask Anne, Current Planetary trends | 18 Comments
From JJ: “How is the 12th house pluto affecting…” This area of the chart is very private—most of the concepts astrology assigns to this house are hidden, behind the scenes and what we manage to hide from ourselves most of the time. Psychologically we talk about the subconscious or super consciousness… our dreams, the psyche etc. Astrologically we talk about venturing into the unknown, our fears and our inner world. Institutions, such as a hospital, the psychiatric ward, and behind the scenes belong to the domain of the twelfth house. Any time a slowly moving planet takes up residence in this segment of the astrological chart, we are working with those kinds of issues at length; it takes time to uncover what we have ‘repressed’. › Continue reading
Pluto in the first house?
Wednesday, November 26th, 2008 | Ask Anne | 3 Comments
From Christophe in France: “I was wondering about the effect of Pluto entering Capricorn for Capricorn Ascendant people? My wife is a Scorpio born with ascendant Capricorn and I was interested in knowing what will be the effects from an ascendant point of view.”
The Ascendant is our identity, physical appearance, the attitude we have and how we behave, it represents what wins us favours. If you have transit Pluto in your first house in your personal chart, you are getting in touch with yourself, partly by external force and partly because who you have become no longer pleases you at your inner core. The horoscopes out there, including my own, delineate the potential based on the Sun in any given sign as the Ascendant. You might want to read your Ascending sign for additional clues. Pluto in turn represents transformation, renovation, elimination—a serious attitude adjustment when it is influencing the Ascendant, first house and/or its ruler, in this case Saturn and/or one of the personal planets. Those born in early Scorpio, October 23-29, are likely to have benefits to reap provided they acted on the opportunities back in the mid-1980’s when Pluto was conjunct their Sun. Pluto was in Scorpio 1984-1996. The aspect, as the illustration shows, is a sextile, which 60 degrees. This affords the luxury of making changes rather than having them imposed on us. The Sun is different from the Ascendant, it represents what we are growing into, and as we age, we own more of the facets our Sun sign represents. › Continue reading
Virgos post-Saturn

From Angela in Missouri: “Hi Anne…just a quick question, if it’s not too much trouble. I’m a Virgo and, of course, we’ve all been hearing about the fact that “taskmaster Saturn” is in the sign of Virgo through next year. Okay, my nose is to the grindstone, and I’m doing the best I can…but what I want to know is what big planet comes along for Virgos next, once Saturn is finished pounding us into the ground?” › Continue reading

Send me an email or a post about your astrological questions, note that these need to be general interest not directly about your personal chart. For answers about that I recommend either astrological reports or personal consultations.
