Saturn, the Sun or the Moon

Your question: I’ve noticed that Saturn has returned to Virgo for a bit longer and will be heading back into Libra shortly. With my Sun in Virgo and my moon in Libra I was just wondering which is usually more difficult for someone to go through, Saturn in their Sun sign or Saturn in their Moon sign? See the response
My response: The Sun represents our identity, ego and who we are evolving into. All of the planets revolve around the Sun assisting us to become more aware of our true essence. When Saturn transits our Sun we learn about both our short comings and how we can take ourselves more seriously. It is also about the maturation process. We may encounter limitations to our progress as we need to learn about our inner strength. We may find it harder to express our talents and skills until we do things properly. Half-hearted effort does not appease Saturn; we need to give our goals and aspirations our undivided attention. The primary issue might be that you are asked to take on new responsibility (responsibilities) or find that you must take something on without being asked. You might feel undervalued and choose to seek a new environment.
The Moon represents our daily experiences, emotions and our comfort zone. With Saturn transits to our Moon we may need to deal with emotional issues. We may feel unappreciated, isolated and even depressed. You might be more sensitive to criticism even when it is constructive. There can be a sense that others are less supportive and you need to find that inner resolve. Naturally the energy can play outside of own personal experience, you might find yourself renovating your home, choose to work with older people or need to look after an elderly family member or assist with the management of someone else’s affairs. The primary issue might be that you feel more responsible even when you really do not need to, no-one asked and it wasn’t even implied.
It is impossible to say which is harder or even to state that it will be hard. Thinking back to my own experience of life, Saturn was on my Moon when my youngest sister was born and because our parents died when she was young, I have always felt like an older sister/mother toward her. When I visit (very seldom due to distance), I try to be more like a grandmother toward my nephews than just an aunt. Saturn was on my Moon the second time when I opted to return to the workforce. There were some challenging times, at the onset the first three companies I worked for with about a year and a half, ceased operations, went bankrupt, relocated out of the area, etc. It was a little disheartening, but I learned a lot.
When Saturn was on my Sun—only one occurrence so far—I was offered a teaching job with a University. Great pay and great opportunity; this brought wonderful advancement in my career as a teacher. I also gave birth to my fourth child during that time.
