Jack Layton has been stating he will vote against the budget. No qualifiers, no reading it over—I guess he got a taste of being in power within the coalition and with it reason and logic left the equation. Layton the leader of the NDP is one of 37 MPs from that political party in the parliament; that is 12 percent of the 308 MPs. Gilles Duceppe of Bloc Quebecois is echoing that statement. The bloc holds 49 seats in the Parliament and represents Quebec only. Will this choice hurt these politician and their parties? The vote will take place on Thursday, but that will be a mute point… however, our political scene will change—well have Taurus vs. Cancer. More about that in future posts.
